If you notice
any of the following symptoms during or even days after a long
flight, you should consult your doctor immediately:
- Sudden chest pain and breathlessness
- Coughing not due to a cold, often with expectorated
blood
- A sensation of constriction or oppression
which may develop into panic
- Bursts of sweating
- Sudden pallor
- Racing pulse (tachycardia)
- Blue lips and finger nails (cyanosis), indicating
lack of oxygen
- Fainting
